Bow wow wow, yippie yo, yippie yeah
It's true... if you haven't already heard... I've adopted a new pooch! He's between 7 and 8 months old they think. He was a rescue from what they call a "high kill" facility in GA. So, he's a southern gentleman like some, SOME, of my friends (grin).

They tell me he is a mix between a lab and a aussie "something." My brother has queensland heelers, and this pup def has some of those traits! I also think there might be some chow in there... from the right angle, he looks great dane-ish too (no pun intended!) and then there is also sometimes when he looks like there could be a smidge of pitbull in there... but the more I look the more I doubt the pitbull...

Either way, he's an absolute sweetheart... currently sleeping on my feet.... loves to walk, and play, and THANKFULLY sleep. Is already housebroken, and also already comfy enough to walk around with his tail held high and eat and drink and play with his new toys.

So, please to enjoy, my indulgence to entering into puppy-hood:

Dear Barack... oh, and everyone else too....
A few things I wanted to share:
  • I know it's a bit early, But... Congratulations... I have faith ;)
  • When you're finally sworn it, can you please fix the registration problem? i mean I know you'll be busy trying to fix all the crap that President Cheney, err.. I mean Bush broke, but if you get some time.... It's really ridiculous. I registered, re-registered, and the three-registered... but somehow I was still not listed in the right book. Thankfully I live close enough to my last address, so I could get to that location, but something's just totally effed up. It might be different if I didn't distinctly remember the two people I spoke with telling my I, after filling out their form, was registered to vote (the third time was via mail so there was no confirmation) but I do remember them saying that. You think its cause I didnt check off "republican" or "democrat"? I do.

But... aside from all that I did overhear a funny that I wanted to share as well...

Where I had to vote is where I used to live, which is sometimes referred to as "little Italy" in Boston - you know, the North End - which makes this story better 'cause its complete with really great accents... to bad I you can't hear them... Anyway... as I go to vote there's someone in the next booth thingie who needed help with the ballet, so there's a woman reading and explaining the questions.... she gets to the marijuana item (you know about the fine vs felony) and she reads it... and the person says... "HA?" So she replies, in a great mix of accents from Boston and Italy but it sound more NYC-ish, and says "It's about marijuana honey, do you want it?" I had all I could do to keep from laughing out loud. Bless her heart, cause she made me almost forget about being mad at the people who told me I was registered in the right place, even tho I was not.

Anyway... like I said... Congrats Barack! But, to be sure, since you are a politician, and a human, and neither of those things are perfect, I like to be sure and ask: Please don't eff things up any more than they already are!

Thanks!

Peaches' pullin' Palin Punches....
OK not really, but she did send me this link:

http://www.palinaspresident.us/

It's super funny, but also kinda scary, since a lot of the humor is based, at least in part, in truth.

I say be who you wanna be Sarah Palin, and I honestly mean that. But I append: leave your "morals" outta politics... because while you suggest that you can "tolerate" me and my "lifestyle" (and a number of other things you don't think are "good") I, regrettably, just can't tolerate the brand of disingenuous behavior you hide behind your mask of being a "good, simple-minded, joe-plumber, kinda person."

Color me confused
So, on the news this morning this reporter was trying to explain this "bail-out"....

Perhaps I misunderstood, perhaps she was not describing it right.... but to me it sounded like she was saying that wall street - oh wait sorry "the country" - "needs" the 700 billion to be able to keep giving credit "where it's needed" -- UMMMMMM correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the case that these failing financial institutions inability to properly assess where credit SHOULD be given and then give credit properly is what got us into this mess?

I mean I do support the idea that current home-owners and the average joe should be helped; Because them sinking (besides just being bad) will in-turn make things worse for all of us (with higher taxes to pay for the taxes they're no longer paying for the things we all do depend on) but no way in hell do I think the same boobs who effed this all up the first time should be allowed to keep giving out said credit... isn't it Einstein who said the definition of crazy is repeating the same thing over and over but expecting a different result?

Popular opinion or not, I'm happy the "bail-out" was rejected, and I hope a much more sound plan comes along, quickly for sure, but I am happy those leaders who did stand up against it did so and rejected it. Kudos for not caving under pressure or being bitten by the "we have to act right now without thinking" bug.

My how times, uhhhhh, really DONT seem to change me much at all...
So, a short while back you may recall "ms ginny" (aka Steve) visited from New Jersey. She likes for me to say NYC, but it's hoboken luv, and that AIN'T NYC... Closer than Boston, but who says that's a good thing? But I digress...

We were sitting on my front porch – I'd say sunning ourselves, but it was night time and there were cocktails involved – and Steve snapped a little picture of me with his iPhone while I tried to figure something out on mine. Yeah... here it is:

Perchance that best thing you can say is... Ah. Um... OK. So, um, what's noteworthy about that image? Besides the fact that you're lookin' a smidgen crazy?

Well, in truth, very little were it not for one image my Mother snapped oh so many moons ago (wait, not that many!)... here IT is...

Yes that little patoot is me. Yes at one point I HAD hair! But FOCUS! As you can see, I'd never make it on the gambling circuit because it would appear as though I have at least one MAJOR "tell" for when I'm thinking really hard about something. ;) I used to think my worst tick was to talk to myself while I worked... perhaps I need to re-evaluate ;)

Of course, I can just imagine what all your naughty-naughty zoots are mulling over for witty retorts...

So have at it... just remember that's my mothers lil precious youngest bouncing baby boy! So she just might cut you if you say something too mean!

Anywho, I had to share, so Mom graciously scanned the image (after sifting through boxes cause she jus' moved!), so thanks Mom!
